Thermoroof Polycarb: Brighten Your Building with Natural Light
Overview
The Thermoroof Polycarb is the perfect solution for creating a natural and bright environment inside your building. Designed to be fully compatible with our Roof PIR panel, this product can be adapted to fit various thicknesses, providing a seamless integration.
Thermal Performance
The Thermoroof Polycarb ensures excellent thermal performance, meeting the stringent requirements of Building Regulation part L2. With U-values ranging from 0.95 to 1.58 W/m2.K, it helps maintain optimal energy efficiency and temperature control.
Managing Humidity and Condensation
In rooms with higher relative humidity and significant temperature differences, we recommend installing the Thermoroof Polycarb to the gutter. By doing so, you prevent condensation from forming in the channels of the rooflight, which can lead to droplet formation. The specially designed end cap facilitates the controlled drainage of accumulated moisture into the gutter, safeguarding your building from potential water damage.
Installation and Maintenance
To ensure proper installation, the end caps of the Thermoroof Polycarb should be attached using our reliable Thermoroof Polycarbonate sealant. It is crucial to apply the sealant carefully, avoiding any blockage that could hinder moisture escape. In situations with small temperature differences and normal relative humidity, a 'perspiring' tape can be used to tape the ends of the material, allowing any moisture accumulation to dry out naturally.
Seamless Transition and Defoaming
The Thermoroof Polycarb offers flexibility in placement, allowing it to overlap an underlying Roof PIR without extending into the gutter when conditions permit. The flawless transition between the PIR panel and the polycarbonate rooflight is achieved through a special production technique called defoaming or cutback. This technique ensures a smooth and visually appealing integration.
Elevate your building's interior with the Thermoroof Polycarb, a reliable and efficient solution that brings natural light while maintaining thermal performance and managing humidity effectively.
