Returns & Refunds Policy
At Colour Clad Profiles, because much of our range is manufactured to your specific requirements, our returns policy distinguishes between bespoke fabrications and standard products.
Custom-made & bespoke items
All roofing sheets and flashings are precision-cut or folded to order at our Somerset facility. Under UK law, these are classified as bespoke items.
- Returns: We cannot accept returns or provide refunds for bespoke items due to a change of mind or ordering errors.
- Cancellations: If you wish to cancel a bespoke order before fabrication has commenced, you must contact us immediately. If production has already started (typically with 24-48 hours), the order cannot be cancelled or refunded.
Standard & stocked items
For non-bespoke items, you have 14 days from the date of delivery to notify us of a return.
- Condition: Items must be returned in their original, unopened (where possible), and resalable condition.
- Costs: Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a tracked, signed-for service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.
- Restocking fee:
- You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your order, as per the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. As above, this does not apply to bespoke orders.
- Returns for standard stock items by trade customers are subject to a 15% restocking fee at our discretion.*
Faulty or damaged goods
In the event your order arrives damaged or is faulty, you are protected by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- Please inspect your goods upon delivery and notify us within 24 hours of any visible damage, by emailing service@colourcladprofiles.com or calling 01278 557 002. We will refund or replace the items as appropriate.
*Classification or Trade vs. Retail Transactions
Colour Clad Profiles Ltd reserves the right to classify a transaction as business-to-business (B2B) based on the nature of the order and the capacity in which the customer is acting, as it pertains to restocking charges. Factors used to determine trade status include, not are not limited to:
- Account type: Use of a registered Trade Account or order in receipt of trade specific discount.
- Delivery destination: Deliveries to construction sites, commercial units or industrial addresses.
- Payment method: Use of a corporate or business credit/ debit card.
- Invoicing requirements: Requests for VAT invoices featuring a registered company name.
